Morning Mayan

Uploaded by henryhomesweet on January 9th 2010, 11:18 PM

Good morning :) I present to you a nice stoner jam to welcome in your day. The setup is GBA Nanoloop 2.3 + GB camera + Dj Mixer + reverb pedal. I added a few post filters on the intro and also to cover up a few wobbly bits here and there but other than that this is pretty much a live mix. I Hope you enjoy listening x

  • Acousticchip : I really need tips on using nanoloop 1.5 ive figured everything you can do with it except a good bass line :/ how do i do it if i use L as my drum channel and R as my lead N for my cymbals and snares and i dont really use s because its not very good because you cant hear it over everything else as it is only 4 bit :/

  • cy9ez : STOP THIS SORCERY IMMEDIATELY! But in all seriousness, that was a treat. Totally made me forget about how I slightly preferred your old nanoloop stuff. This track was extremely imaginative, and stylized. Goes along perfectly with a fat bowl pack ;) No wonder you're the chip artist that insipred me to create my own music over 3 years ago!

  • henryhomesweet : Thankyou all so much, its a total pleasure to see you enjoying this! Zazi: The reverb pedal is a Behringer digital reverb DR100, i havnt tried any others but I can still recommend it :) For nanoloop 2.3 users here's a little technique Im using for this track. If you press b and up or down on the tempo select it can set a channel to play at half speed or quarter speed etc, so i have a few channels playing at half speed and a few playing normally, with the master tempo at a really fast 230bpm, Its a nice way of adding super fine editing and detail to a channel like a glitchy drum or a hyper melody but the biggest benifit of this way of writing is creating filter sweeps on a melody or with the noise channel. When its playing at 230bpm its cool to add a note in each box and adjust the filter on each note starting from the highest end to the lowest and it creates a lovely clean rushing sweep! Im maybe stating the obvious so sorry if i sound like a noob, but its just the way i write my 2.3 songs :)

  • ZAZI : this is quality :) do tell what reverb pedal you use?

  • Cats : how lovely i listened to it appropriately =D
    on January 10th 2010, 10:29 AM
  • Spencircuit : Absolutely amazing, especially considering the fact that you did this on sheer improv. The filters are a tad overused but it builds up to a superb climax. I would click the like button several times if I could.
