maxYMiser test

Uploaded by combatdave on May 27th 2009, 02:47 PM

Alright, it's not really a maxYMiser test... but its the first real thing I've made with it! Bonus points if you recognize the song I copied at the end. Me starting to use this is all Ultrasyd's fault - if it wasn't for his tune "Lonely Robot", I'd still be a happy little LSDJ nerd. But alas, he hath unleashed my inner Atari rage. Any pointers on how to make nicer sounding instruments or drums would be REALLY appreciated :)

  • L-tron : Nice one dave! Did you program all the instruments yourself or load the ones that come with MaxYMiser? Didn't catch the song you coppied at the end, but I'm anticipating more YM stuff from ya!

  • combatdave : Bonus points for wavdash! Smiletron - yeah, I am. I'm running an emulator called Hatari at the moment, but I want to figure out how to get Steem working on my mac... it's much nicer than Hatari, I think.

  • combatdave : Hah, I just realised that some of the arps are a little early. I'm on a macbook pro, and it doesn't have a delete key - I have to do function+backspace to get it - and the backspace key on its own seems to delete a whole row (no idea why that would be useful). Apparently I have deleted a row by accident and then forgotten to fix the arp pattern. Silly maxYMiser!

  • combatdave : I forgot to add - tips on using the buzzer and the SID thingy in maxymiser would be awesome, too! I don't really have a clue what's going on when it comes to either of them...
