This is the first track I'm chucking on my profile. It is a colab between myself and a very good friend of mine, Cid. I had hoped to get it mixed and mastered by someone who actually knew what they were doing... unfortunately that man was in Frankfurt at the time we completed it. Here it is, deal. Feedback good or bad welcome.

  • cTrix : Yeah! Kicking tune guys. On Mastering, you are more than welcome to pop in the studio anytime. We have look-ahead bandpass compressors / bass extenders / transiant rebuilders (in software) plus a valve front end for you to run the output though. Probably isn't what mr. Frankfurt can do, but you know where I am ;-)

  • Derris-Kharlan : why does mazi always make me die a little inside? anyway, if I was to be picky i'd say that near the end you really lose a lot of the lower frequencies to masking. the bass becomes really hard to hear, and its a shame because its really cool. but hey, thats being ultra picky, and there probably isn't much you can do about it. ultrasyd had it spot on. this will go off live.

Noise could do with some mixing ... and possibly making the two interweaving melodies in the second half weave more (I am incredibly inarticulate at expressing ideas in this form but hope you understand)... at about 3:00 it really peaks but then just keeps at that level would be good to hear the incredibly busy leads on their own for a little while ... do like it and I am by no means pro-music-mod so take what you will from my comments what you will

  • celsius : Ultrasyd : Yeah it's 2 DMGs synced running 2 copies of LSDJ 3.9.9 9 (I think). It didn't need both for most sections obviously, but there is a pulse bassline layered on top of the wave bassline for most of it as well as that arp and 2 melodies during some sections. This track was made with a very specific purpose in mind. It was written for a live situation and that's why we coloured it with more prominent hi hats in some sections etc. It's also the reason there is an extended intro section with very little variation as we'll prob be talking over it on a mic during the performance. We'll most likely use this as a set opener. It's yet to be seen if this'll work the way we indented but I really can't wait to try it out! :-)
