Pixelised Life (AtariST & DMG sync)

Uploaded by Ultrasyd on August 23rd 2009, 12:46 PM

I like the end with the break before the final part :) MIDI controlled Atari ST (maxYMiser) + 1 DMG (LSDJ) sync via my Arduinoboy. Xenyx 1002FX mixer for recording (has some built-in effects, just a bit of flanger or something on the Game Boy part). This will be the last one of the Lonely Robot / Before the End / Target Destroyed / Lost in Fractal serie. I need to try something else, but this kind of sounds is stuck in my head... I hope the next one will be completly different :)

 • Groovemaster303 : I know what you mean when you say you want to move on but these sounds stay stuck in your head, i'm going through the same phase... wanting to change but sticking to the sounds I love lol. I've really enjoyed this track, and as always I love that distinctive gritty yet charming sound you create. Good luck on your future projects my friend, i'll be looking forward to hearing them.

 • Jredd : I really enjoy your sound as always. I too wasn't sure about the flanger effect when I read the description. But the effect is so light, that it sounds like it belongs there rather than taking away from the piece. Another triumph. :D

 • sserrac : You have a very distinctive instrument choice :) Lovely song, I thought the flanger on the gameboy would sound terrible when I read the description, but it actually worked really well.

 • Ultrasyd : It's the first time that I use the real Atari for both composing (I usually make it with an emulator for convenience) and recording. The keyboard is so nice, I love the function keys :)
