    on April 19th 2009, 06:11 AM
  • Statikz : Well really cag, im sorry that we've argued over this but we obviously have split oppinions. And im sorry but i will continue to upload onto this site as most people dont have a problem, you will also find that the rest of my work is as you say "semi 8-bit". I dont understand what your problem is really for the most part. And aswell to clarify, I do quite like views as it means more people know about me as an artist. But i'll never be like "woah! i pwned you! ive got teh more views!" or any of that crap that you get of some people.

  • CAG : Hmm, I've been down this road before, Legokong. I don't feel like going into how you don't need to have uploaded media to have an opinion on things. Statikz, first you say you "really don't care" and tell me how you don't appreciate pure 8-bit, and now you say "ofcourse I appreciate the music" and act as though it was obvious. You want to know why there is a problem with liking a certain sound? Well it isn't the fact that you like a certain sound. It's the fact that that "certain sound" isn't 8-bit at all, and yet you upload it here on 8-bitcollective with the notion that it is "semi-8-bit". No, your "8-bit emulator" is just a plain square-wave with pwmodulation, and when you put it under all those effects, it no longer has anything to do with 8-bit music at all. It's just a square-wave, the same one you can get from most VSTis. I don't want to keep having to write you "comments" like this. I've made my point, you clearly don't care, which is naive. I just hope you aren't one of those people who pride themselves on how many comments or views they have (I'm not saying that you are). It's not a case of "if you don't like it, don't listen". I told you before that I'm glad you're making music, but you are uploading it to the wrong place.

  • Legokong : Nice Work! Let's not turn this into Youtube commentary, "CAG" should be a BIT more mindful about his comments seeing that he hasn't posted any music, "CAG" stop being a poser.
    on April 18th 2009, 02:52 PM
  • HAHA HA... : This is great. lol. The comments are as fun as the song! (>.
    on April 18th 2009, 02:06 PM
  • Statikz : If you have a problem with it, dont listen to it.
    on April 17th 2009, 04:45 PM
  • Statikz : Ofcourse I appreciate the music, my computer is filled with 8 bit artists (mainly from here). I wouldn't be here if i didn't appreciate 8 bit music and so What if I like a certain sound? Why is there a problem there? personally I can still recognise lots of 8 bit qualitys. Lead and bass lines, kick sound. what more do you want?
    on April 17th 2009, 04:44 PM
  • CAG : It doesn't matter that you use 8-bit emulators. You layer them with effects and they cease to hold any "8-bit" qualities. Regardless of how many people "have a problem with it", it's still not right to upload this kind of music on this particular site. I think it's stupid to use this site as your "home on the internet" when you don't even appreciate the music it is made for.
    on April 17th 2009, 04:38 PM
  • Statikz : I never said i dont apperciate 8 bit music, i said i dont really appreciate pure 8 bit where its just 1 gameboy and lsdj. I use 8 bit sound emulators. There don't seem to be many people who have a problem with it, so I will continue to upload my work until the majority feel it is not 8 bit. I dont really wish to argue with you.
    on April 17th 2009, 02:58 PM
  • CAG : I never said that I didn't appreciate your work, I said it doesn't belong here. I never said I wanted 8BC to be a "pure 8-bit collective", but, obviously, 8BC should be a place for things that include a reasonable level of 8-bit elements. Just because there is a "software section" in the forums does not mean that "everything goes as long as you process it digitally". FL Studio doesn't produce a "sound", you produce a sound using FL Studio. There is no distinct "sound" for FL Studio. If you don't appreciate 8-bit, why is 8BC your "home" on the internet?
    on April 17th 2009, 02:41 PM
  • Statikz : @CAG : to be honest, i really dont care. 8bc is my 'home' on teh interweb.. Im sorry you dont appreciate my work. But in all honesty i dont really appreciate pure 8 bit. You'll notice that in the forums there is a "software" section. That means that this is acceptable in an 8bc enviroment. So stop complaining and look harder for your pure 8 bit. Lots of members use FL and I love the sound it produces along with loads of other people.

  • FantomenK : its is quite nice.. gives a pretty nice feelin' thats what you want
    on April 17th 2009, 04:36 AM
  • CAG : Not everything has to be pure LSDJ + DMG, but I come here to listen to 8-bit music. Lately it seems like anything made in FL Studio is also 8-bit. I'm glad you're making music, that's wonderful, but there are plenty of other places on the internet where your music is welcomed and more appreciated, so why not upload it there? When you layer 8-bit plugins with so many effects, they cease to sound "8-bit".

  • stalecupcakes : dude im seriously in love with this track, would you mind if i possibly did a remix/rendition?
    on April 16th 2009, 06:22 PM
  • My name? : You've done yourself a real compliment by making this track. Like the textures and how everything blends together. The story is good because it develops as it goes but the conclusion isn't so diverse from the start that you don't recognise it. The conclusions rounds it all off nicely as though nothing is missing. Good work, I'm Impressed.

  • Ultrasyd : I meant : there is enough LSDJ here on 8bc, other things are good too !
    on April 16th 2009, 03:36 PM
  • Statikz : It has no lsdj in it =/
    on April 16th 2009, 03:10 PM
  • Ultrasyd : 1 point for you, enough LSDJ ;)
    on April 16th 2009, 03:06 PM
  • Statikz : Well it was made with ymvst and Magical 8 bit. Not everything on 8bc has to be pure DMG + LSDJ
    on April 16th 2009, 03:01 PM
  • CAG : I can't help but notice that this doesn't belong on 8BC.
    on April 16th 2009, 02:55 PM
