January Incentive (Effects Processed LSDJ)

Hello. This is the first LSDJ track I've ever "processed" with a computer. Usually I just do a straight recording from my Gameboy, but I feel like the processed version of this song is ten times better. Please let me know what you think! DMG + 808 kick drum sample + various effects. (You probably wont hear the kick unless you're listening with headphones, as you should!)

  • Foxtrot : this is true...but i could record each channel individually like you did, and then add the effects with the KP to them separately. It'd be a lot more work, but you can really get some interesting sounds/filters out of 4-bit distortion! Thanks for the response and keep up the good work!

  • NAND : @Foxtrot: Thanks for the kind words! I used GarageBand for the effects. Kaoss Pads are pretty sweet, but you can't effect LSDJ channels individually - only the whole output. I recorded the channels separately and added effects to suite each one. Fun stuff!

  • Foxtrot : Nice track - I like your wave instrument. What did you use to add the effects? I'm thinking about picking up a Korg Pad for my LSDJ work.
