  • petercooper : I'm working on an iPhone game (a Robotron 2084 clone of sorts - think high speed, retro shooter) and I've been looking around for songs I can take a loop from for the menu screen (the game itself is too noisy to need a backing track!). Is this something we could talk about? If it is, drop me a note at peter@petercooper.co.uk.   • TRASHAPPY! : hahaha, MassiveUntilMorning: don't worry I wasn't implying you copied anyone's music, I was just simply stating that I thought this lacked originality. Don't get me wrong, it's a good, catchy track and you clearly have a lot of fans, I just personally think that if you're going to make chiptrance / unce then you really need something to set yourself out from the crowd, something that makes you sound different. I can definitely appreciate this, I just think it needs something more and different to make it great. I'm glad you enjoyed making it! :)

  • Downstate : i wouldn't sweat it dude, i dont think Trashhappy was referring to specific song by those guys, Falco and Shirobon. So he wasnt implying you copied their songs, i think he meant more just the style and overall sound of your song, i think he just meant there is alot of stuff out there that sounds like this. Which to be fair there is, but then thats because its unce/chiptrance or whatever you d call it call and quite alot of people making chiptunes tend to make trance and house, atleast on here they do. Anyway, this type of trance stuff really isnt my cup of tea, i find it all quite samey, but as far as trance goes this is well catchy, really well made, and pretty fucking awesome man. Just wanted to clear it up incase you think people are saying your copying other peoples track, which they re not. Anyway it seems the vast majority love this track so i wouldnt worry dude :)

  • FearofDark : I agree with TRASHAPPY! on this one, it lacks in originality. Also wasn't a fan of the part in the middle, where it sounded like some bad sample looping. While the tune is (admittedly) quite catchy, there are a million songs like this that use the same bass line, drum loop and use the same style.
