Monolith groove-rmx edit

Uploaded by Kyotosapian on June 16th 2009, 02:37 PM

Just a song from the 'Ancient & Unreleased' compilation I released earlier this week; a taster of such tracks featured. Enjoy! Usual setup, gameboy and lsdj.

  • Kyotosapian : Guys, guys. It's like, one of my oldest works. It's full of problems, hence the Ancient & Unreleased compilation, probably should've made that clearer.

  • Pompei : The beginning intro buildup reminded me of falco, without all the crazy tables and C commands. ;) Then when the kick drum came in I liked it alot. Reminded me of Hurrigame Boy and Knuckle Joe. /// I agree with chiphyrda, if the intro built up into something epic it would be much better. Maybe make the WAV bass different, a little more full. And add a melody. Instead of that same line from the build up. /// I do like where this is going though. Hopefully you choose to take some of my advice? Or just work on the song some more your way. :)

  • chiphydra : the intro was really awkward, didn't really sound in sync, and i think it was way too drawn out.. if it was some sort of big buildup worth the two minutes then i'd agree with it but it's just so awkward to listen to it for the whole 2+ minutes. and i'd have to agree with vickysbooties about the drums.. i think if you tightened the hihat a bit and made it shorter and had a little more variation on the drum pattern it would sound a bit more enjoyable!

  • Protest-Beige : I really liked this but it sounds a bit odd when the 'break' part happens and the kick comes in. like it comes in a tiny bit out of sync or something. That's only a very minor critiscm though because this was really nice to listen to. (Y)
