im gonna be adding more chip but yh. the bass is made with 3 square waves with a filter and lfo and the lead is magical 8 bit plug :) made on renoise :D

  • Kid Icaris : and triangle is more of a sub bass waveform tbh. squaretooth and sqare are the best for wobs. theres all mutiple effects yu can dd of course but the way i make it is 3 oscillators running through 1 lowpass and a filter called "daft". if u mess around with the effects yu can get what u want. all you need is NI massive :)

  • Kid Icaris : erm. bassically the wob is the cutoff of the filter being changed. the lfo automates the cutoff for you. tbh i dont know anyother way of making it the majority of dubstep is made using software like reason. if u wana start making it i recomend getting some sofware to do it on.

  • Disco Rehab : I so need to learn how to make a wobbly-ass bass like this.. Happy? So I don't have a low frequency oscillator or software that includes it either. I'm trying to figure out how to make a dub bass on the Electribe but its not easy. 6 squares, Cutoff + LPF + sweeping is the closest I could get it. One other combination worked, but not quite as well. I wanted to try with 3 tris but the volume was unusably low for some reason. Any other suggestions? I don't use VSTs.

  • CAPSLOCK DOWN : This is pretty damn sick! made on renoise too =) were software joined at the hip my friend, but this is far more of a masterful work than i could make on it =P you did good kid =D this is different than virtually everything i hear on this site, and thats why im loving it hugely =D Natty x

  • ary-bo-bary : i pretty much second what kraze said.. or do the opposite and actually make it dubstep.. get the half time, broken swing feel and take out the usual kick, hi hat, snare, hi hat, kick etc etc beat.. awesome bass sound u have going!

  • kraze : The part 2/3's in would be so much more kicking if it had a electro house tempo (108-122) and so would the even more dubstep-esque part at the end. Since it's not really halftime that'd be the best solution to get a tighter groove going.

  • Kid Icaris : i know tempos. its a teaser. if u listen to the end it slows down and goes into a dubstep break down. it starts fast slows down then speeds up

  • cursedc : Dubstep tempo 138-140. I would say this is close to clown step...or something like that. But If you want to say its dubstep, then its dubstep. Hell that bassline is dubstep enough for me.
