  • swampyboy : this is kickass, nice and glitchy and funky. i think you should do more with it, would be nice to hear some more variation and maybe a fidgety mhigher melody over the top in some places

  • Thi : Awesome instruments. Everything is crisp. love it.

  • christopher_voss : it's crazy the kind of noises that you've gotten out of the wave channel.

  • axolotl : Either way, you got some really great sounds here.. Half the fun of composing on LSDJ is making the instrument!

  • Xylo : @villewannabe. Listen to some songs he does like. It'll maybe expand your horizon a bit and makes his comments better to understand.

  • Play It Loud! : And apparently Joule has never heard of techno and thinks all music must have gay melodies.

  • Play It Loud! : lol Five Alive

  • wry : Marvelous. Although yes it was pecussive, I was hypnotized by the melodies. You've displayed excellent control of LSDJ.

  • J. Arthur Keenes : joule - I agree with your criticism, the focus of this was not composition at all, as I said before it was really more of a little experiment. If you were familiar with LSDJ and the technique I used throughout this song, you would understand how limited it is melodically and that it is difficult to get other channels in tune with the wav channel.

  • villewannabe : very pretty fucking awesome. From now on I'll start listening to all songs that joule dislikes :)

  • joule : like most LSDJ productions. glitchy, slightly atonal and with too much lack of musical content. if i would like something that is only based on rhythm it would have to contain quite some hooks and not just repetitions.

  • AlexLuthor : I could def. do some housework to this.

  • J. Arthur Keenes : Yeah, I agree that it could definitely be less repetitive, this was really mostly an experiment trying to integrate the sample manipulation into a song, its kind of difficult, getting the pulse channels in tune with it. It's mostly just looped samples and P commands, no after effects or anything.

  • ColeTrain : Very original.

  • herr_prof : I dunno, it totally sounds like a gameboy to me.. but its still quite awesome.
    on August 21st 2009, 10:53 AM
  • Battle Lava : really cool, liked it a lot, even if it was repetitive, but if you changed it a bit, could be a really sick track.

  • humiliation : SAMPLE MANIP IS FUN, EH? fuck yeah for producing shit on gameboy that doesn't sound like it was produced on gameboy.

  • jyooruje : great track

  • BR1GHT PR1MATE : absolutely excellent sounds. its amazing how much unexplored noise is available in that little gray box

  • Jellica : sounds good, sample manipulation always pissed me off due to it making my DMG fall over all the time.

  • accentalpulse : mad stupid yo,,this shit is hot fire
    on August 21st 2009, 12:59 AM
  • L-tron : Damn this is rad! Trippy sounds you got going on. Using the S command and filters? I really like the snare you have going on here, and how the kick doesn't hit on 1, but on the second beat instead at some parts. Are those crazy echos all LSDJ? Anyhow, great stuff, man!
    on August 21st 2009, 12:55 AM
  • Random : Very cool! The last part sounds really fat and full. Would be even better if there was some more variation in the chord progression.
    on August 21st 2009, 12:27 AM
  • Biographs : Fantastic! I'll have to start experimenting with the kits.
