Get A Brian Morans!

Uploaded by FearofDark on October 13th 2009, 01:11 PM

Get A Brian Morans By Fearofdark Finished/Released: 13th October 2009 FoD brings you another chunk tune:D I tried to make it different this time... Title based on several things... Also, it's taking me longer to make songs now, what with school and GCSEs and the like. Took me about 10 days to make (and most of it was copying and pasteing). Samplies from various artists that inspired me to make this. Quasian, K.Koch, Radix blah blah.... Enjoy!

  • lamb : @xaimus: it may be mp3-encoding artifacts. i have met such - especially with synth-sounds.

  • themediashow : I agree the lead's pretty sweet. I'd like to hear you working with something other than the drum machine you're using for percussion, though -- it's pretty bland.

  • seece : Sounds a bit like oldskool demos! I like it. You have some nice layering going on with all those sounds. The lead has some nice melodies but maybe you could sometimes try to make it a bit catchier so it would stuck to the listeners head! Well the last part of the song is actually quite catchy :P

  • xaimus : What are you using to add stereo width? It sounds unnatural. It's distracting me from the song itself; the original unprocessed module (as it exists on TMA) sounds better. Good song, regardless.

  • FearofDark : A couple of days after I uploaded it, I was thinking that I could've just faded the last couple of patterns out. I was going for a detatched kind of ending initially. Nevertheless, I'm glad you guys like it:)

  • Memory : I love this, but the ending is killing me, man! I check to make sure my player hadn't suddenly run out of juice. For an ending, you could extend the piece by a few bars, and run through the chord progression with fewer instruments, until you reach the end of it, perhaps finishing with a single echo-ing note?

  • FearofDark : Thanks everyone for all the positive feedback. accentalpulse: I used Modplug Tracker to make this (in .xm format), so all the samples used are single notes, and the song is done using note/instrument patterns and stuff
