Submerciful

Pardon the artifacts, these file size limits are killing me. Anyhow, this song is something different, slow and deliberate. I'm veering away from chip with stuff like this but there are still elements of it so I think it's relevant.

  • monx : This is amazing. congratulations on composing this. 8bc needs more like it. I imagined the figure of a woman, silhouetted against the venice beach sunset; the year is 1986. I second the Bladerunner comparison - this track is big enough to support a feature film.

  • Disasterpeace : @cTrix: Thanks! The bells are actually a sampled toy glockenspiel, though they definitely sound like they could easily be recreated with some FM :)

  • cTrix : I can't believe I haven't come across this tune before now. This is absolutely spot on and possibly one of my fav tunes. The chordal movements are stunning and the choice of instrumentation couldn't be better. Using FM? The bells sound fantastic. Cheers!

  • Disasterpeace : @alphabot: You're right! This is sort've similar to that song. The first I've heard it, nice find!

  • alphabot : bears similarities to an old ?Chicago? song our elementary school choir sang in concert when I was in 2nd grade. I think it was called 'Color My World.' Sorta plays out like a fantasia on that melody, in my slightly twisted mind.

  • sserrac : About 1/4 of the way through when the lead-type synth comes in, it reminds me so much of the music from Blade Runner. Awesome ^_^

  • 2PLAYER : Dude i've been listening to your music for years, never knew you were on this site. I was playing a gig in mass and this dude was spinning your tracks between sets. I got the info and found as much as I could. This song is great!
