    on March 3rd 2009, 07:10 PM
  • Disco Rehab : I like it alot, actually. The part where gibbard's voice would come in seems a bit bland, I don't know why. Might be from it being a higher octave or the gate time of the notes, not sure. But otherwise, great job. Im diggin alot of the background sounds around the middle.
    on March 3rd 2009, 03:11 PM
  • disgustizoid : I happen to like this. :/
    on March 3rd 2009, 02:06 PM
  • Cyberdelic : hmm thats a good idea swampyboy. can you sing? :P that would be neat haha. or if anyone else reading this is decent at singing then feel free to collaborate with me on this. and yes, pokemon posers, firebrandboy already let me know, i'll rework this song tomorrow if i don't sleep all day
    on March 3rd 2009, 02:03 PM
  • Pompei : during the verse the third bassnote is off. and if someone below me already had as good ears as me sorry for repeating. but the rest of your version sounds as good as the real one.
    on March 3rd 2009, 01:54 PM
  • swampyboy : fair enough, accapellas are hard to find. *BUT* i hate it when people just put the vocal layer in a synth, it sounds a bit bodged. if i were you, i would have put some melodies of your own over it, or maybe used a different accapella, personally i would like to hear some ragga vocals on it! or yo could use speech samples and get choppy with it.. the possibilities are endless! just some ideas. and i think people are trying to be helpful when they criticise, i certainly was. so take their advice and fix it up, upload it when its perfect and you'll get in the top ten ^_^ x
    on March 3rd 2009, 01:45 PM
  • Cyberdelic : thank you Ocean Ghost. i'm glad someone finally realized that i made my own version of the song and that i wasn't trying to have everything EXACTLY THE SAME as ben gibbard's version. @kezziebeat, sorry if i came across as being defensive :/ i was having a bad day earlier and i did not mean to sound defensive. so i apologize. @firebrand boy, thank you for not just pointing out your opinion on the song, but also a factual mistake (the f# rather than the g i believe it was). i appreciate that.
    on March 3rd 2009, 01:27 PM
  • OcnGhst : It's a cover, everyone. Its not going to be the same. There's artistic influences instilled in it by Cyberdelic. If he simply transposed it, he wouldn't be an artist, but a lazy copycat. Good work, IMO. The vocal melody seems kinda screachy at points to me, though.
    on March 3rd 2009, 01:05 PM
  • KezzieBeat : *fact, even.
    on March 3rd 2009, 11:32 AM
  • KezzieBeat : i wanted to because i like the postal service and every cover i've heard of them has been good. i'm not saying it's a bad song, in face i quite like it. i just think that you're being a bit too defensive when people are picking faults with your song.
    on March 3rd 2009, 11:31 AM
  • Cyberdelic : wow...i didn't mean for everyone to get so upset about this song. i enjoy the criticism that firebrandboy gave me because he was correct about the note differences. kezziebeat..no one said you had to listen to it....
    on March 3rd 2009, 11:09 AM
  • KezzieBeat : i'm not on about the vocals. i mean musically, sure you have all the notes transcribed but i mean there could be something extra that you could of done to make it better, but you haven't. I would also check your definition of elitist. if you don't want people to pick apart your song or give criticism, then don't upload. simple.
    on March 3rd 2009, 11:02 AM
  • firebrandboy : "horrible transposition" doesn't mean the whole track is horrible. the fact that you did get some of the notes wrong shows at least you transcribed it yourself. chin up son! :) ps. - its my second day back at work from a two-week holiday. forgive me for being snappy.
    on March 3rd 2009, 10:29 AM
  • Cyberdelic : @firebrandboy...you have good ears to catch that bass note. its a halfstep too low. i'll fix that. it did seem a bit harsh, but only because you called it horrible. i know my version isn't as good as yours so sorry to disappoint you.
    on March 3rd 2009, 10:27 AM
  • an-cat-max : i like this, the lyrics seem a bit off though, maybe it's just me
    on March 3rd 2009, 10:18 AM
  • firebrandboy : sorry if that seems harsh.
    on March 3rd 2009, 10:16 AM
  • firebrandboy : inaccuracies on first listen: bass note in the third chord of the verse is wrong, in the chorus there is a bass note that starts on the second beat of the bar and not the first and you play a horrible transposition of the melody at "come down, they'll say".
    on March 3rd 2009, 10:10 AM
  • Cyberdelic : lol, i love how everyone on here is an elitist. what parts are inaccurate?
    on March 3rd 2009, 10:04 AM
  • firebrandboy : parts of this are unfortunately pretty inaccurate.
    on March 3rd 2009, 10:03 AM
  • AlexLuthor : intros and outros were great, but I didn't like this drum beat and the constant pitch bending almost made me turn it off, sorry.
    on March 3rd 2009, 09:29 AM
  • Michael : That's my favorite PS song :D Thanks for this
    on March 3rd 2009, 09:16 AM
  • Whispy Woods : Pretty good, though I think the vocal part might be an octave too high or something?
    on March 3rd 2009, 08:32 AM
  • Cyberdelic : i did..but there were only groups of people singing the songs and also doing all the notes for the instruments as well..and i'd rather have just ben gibbard singing
    on March 3rd 2009, 08:09 AM
  • GAIDEN music : search for accapellas
    on March 3rd 2009, 07:36 AM
  • Cyberdelic : @swampyboy, trust me if i could have found just the vox for the song online or knew how to strip the vox out of the original file then i would have put them in there. but i have no idea how to. and there is no way i'm singing :P
    on March 3rd 2009, 07:20 AM
  • swampyboy : the intro is really good, but i was hoping for some lyrics instead of synth vocals. i'm a big fan of the postal service
    on March 3rd 2009, 07:09 AM
  • Cyberdelic : @Jajadiddle....then listen to the original? :P
    on March 3rd 2009, 06:57 AM
  • iamsky// : word.
    on March 3rd 2009, 06:56 AM
  • Jajadiddle : I love the original, but I didn't enjoy this. This is what my gf likes to call "our song" x] I think this might have been a lot more enjoyable for me if it wasn't a cover.
    on March 3rd 2009, 05:21 AM
  • Cyberdelic : ben gibbard's voice? i'm 99% sure i have all the other parts
    on March 3rd 2009, 04:56 AM
  • KezzieBeat : The Postal Service gets covered ALL the time. This is good, but it seems to be lacking something, it oculd just be me, but it seems like there is something missing.
    on March 3rd 2009, 04:46 AM
  • Cyberdelic : that would be on point! thats my favorite postal service song! DO IT DO IT :D
    on March 3rd 2009, 02:39 AM
  • SkyLabrynth : Aha no worries, thanx man=] I just downloaded:D Thinking bout doing a district sleeps alone cover now=]
    on March 3rd 2009, 02:37 AM
  • bitmuch : word to your mother Cyberdelic!
    on March 3rd 2009, 02:37 AM
  • Cyberdelic : thanks guys! :] and sorry about your friend SkyLabrynth :/
    on March 3rd 2009, 02:35 AM
  • SkyLabrynth : A for Effort=] Was scared that you were about to kill my actuall fave song on earth=] aha My best friend sadly died in a car accident last year and this was played at his funeral, so, er, well done on putting a smile on my face:D hehe
    on March 3rd 2009, 02:16 AM
  • brownbear : I've never had the urge to dance to this song--until now. Good job!
