  • Bit_Rat : It's an obscure Killer7 reference. :) We're fond of such esoteric nods.

  • bitmassacre : not bad, but i really don't understand the title. if it's records you're referring to. who doesn't enjoy doubles?
    on November 23rd 2009, 12:15 AM
  • Bit_Rat : Tight, technical flow is kind of the name of the game here so it may not be for everybody. :) Thanks for the comment though!

  • Deepearthvoid : the lyrics weren't really doin it for me. The beat was sick, and it was set up for some cool flows. But his delivery was too straightforward and technical for me. It felt very forced and not organic AT all. almost like he was out of breath after every verse.

  • Norrin_Radd : This was actually a very tastey combination of styles. Guitar driven chips and lyrical assassination work together marvelously it would seem! Well done boys!

  • Bit_Rat : Thanks NOROCK, and all who like this... more coming soon! :)
    on November 22nd 2009, 05:50 PM
  • NOROCK : Fine without bass, and Fen has a fine voice. I think this is fantastic!

  • TRASHAPPY! : Woah this is sick, and what are these people talking about the vocals being too quiet? they sounded perfect to me. And I loved Fens voice. I agree with the slight bass problem, but other than tht this is great!

  • HarleyLikesMusic : @faking amnesia: Vocals louder ? Id say bring the track up more. With hip hop everything is mixed so its about the same level to make it consistant and heavy sounding. Maybe compress your instrumental abit then turn the gain up. That is probly nit picking but i it would only take a few seconds :) But this track is absolutely awesome dude ! i really do like it alot.

  • Bit_Rat : Downstate: Thanks man! I agree, I think his performance is totally killer, but he did mention to me that he was going for a style similar to Ryu's from Styles of Beyond (mellower kind of flow) so that may account for the comments... opinion and all that, s'all good :) Usually Fen's delivery is more energetic and full-voiced, that's all. ~Josiah

  • Faking Amnesia : Very cool track. My only suggestion is make the vocals a little louder. Other than that it's thumbs up!
    on November 17th 2009, 02:12 PM
  • Bit_Rat : And I disagree, but that's cool. :)
    on November 17th 2009, 12:44 PM
  • Handheld Heroes : no, i'm saying MC Fen doesn't have a voice. he sounds like he's whispering.
    on November 17th 2009, 12:41 PM
  • smiletron : incredibly tight. few small things: needs bass. the fill at "dough on a small string" is a little wierd, other than that its perfect. i got some mad RATM vibes. idk. hah :P. beef up the production and this really could be the chip track of the year. loved.

  • Nestrogen : The EQing was ripping my years apart. I wanted to hear some BASS! :( Final Verdict: Meh, can use some mastering work... and the vox were weak... pssssttt.. I rhyme too :) So, I am not just talking shit here without being able to back it up. "knawmean"?
    on November 17th 2009, 10:23 AM
  • Matt Shogi : holy shit!

  • Guppy : Loving it!
    on November 17th 2009, 03:57 AM
  • Bit_Rat : :) Just to be extra clear, MC Fen did all the vocals and wrote all the lyrics-- I just did the chiptune, recording, sampling and mixing/mastering. Fen makes a couple appearances on the upcoming Bit_Rat full length album though, and I daresay it's even tighter than this. ~Josiah
