The Midnight Disease

Uploaded by Astro on July 2nd 2009, 12:57 AM

Well, Firstly, i have uploaded in ages so; boom. Secondly, this has been on my cart probably coming up a year soon. Im not 100% finished yet. I will no doubt be playing this at Soundbytes 4. Oh yeah; this mix goes for about 5 minutes. There are others which are like 2/3 minutes. Takes a little while to get into it, but give it a good listen :). Crit. Wlecome

  • Vytantus : aw yay :) can't wait to hear your follow up to SB3. This is too Major... needs way more minor. Liked the kick. The vibrato in the harmony bits was gd, but Astro is capable of way more Noise channel utilisation.

  • (alt)Bro : Good work man! The slides are nice and the noise channel work is interesting. You've structured the song well, but (you may have made it like this on purpose) it sounds a little abstract; at various points in the song it doesn't feel engaging or gripping in the way it should. If you're adding melodies to your songs, try to make them the sort of thing that people can really get into. Lastly: some of those kicks could have done with a very, very gentle hi-hat over the top of them to make them sound a little more intense.
