  • Brother Android : Nice! Some of the sounds in there are really interesting; I think it must be the mandolin that is jumping out to me, specifically. There's some really nice melody in places, and while there are segments of it that I don't like as much I'd still call it pretty solid. I'm enjoying the presence of themes that actually recur throughout the song. ;P Good, odd little rhythm, as well. I have to say, though, I don't think the name fits very well either.

  • Brother Android : Hey, I listen to Autechre; I know about the value of perplexing. :P But musical structure also exists for a reason, and I'm just saying that it might be cool to hear some of these micro-ideas get more time to breathe and grow and whatnot, because they're some pretty cool almost-grooves.

  • Moncrey : Perplexing and enjoyable are not opposites. This track is wonderful. It does not repeat much, I would like to hear it last much longer, with its changing nature like this. It seems short for how much dynamic change there is... There is structure here, its an upwards swell that crests with a bird noise. I prefer songs like this to a lot of good songs that follow a typical formula. Perplexing is awesome!

  • Ikon : love Boards of Canada..This is good too, I sort of agree with Brother Android, although for me the ending bars are where it really starts to get awesome for me. The intro is cool, you but I think there's so much more potential for those last few bars, they are very boardsesque, I wanna see them evolve man!

If you took 0.16-0.24 in this song and just stayed in that general zone for a few minutes, this song would be pretty much incredible. But as it stands it feels almost like the great ideas are the result of random chance, because you never stick with them for more than a few seconds. I hope you don't feel like I'm getting down on your song; your music has definite potential and is full of energy and ideas; some structure would just help it cohere into something more enjoyable and less perplexing.
