Zachariasmith

Born in Canada in the year of '93 he's not very old but is starting to get into chiptunes. His musical style stems largely from the musical stylings of Pixel, the maker of Cave Story and also from jazz and classical music.

  • CoraxIncarna : Zach you're so Pixel infulenced :P I think you already know where you're going with ending and stuff, but there's so much more room to grow with this: I think you should make it longer and expanded. Also, an intro to ease you into this would be beneficial I think. Great work so far bud.

  • Zachariasmith : Thanks for the compliments. :D I used modplug and a bunch of samples from Norrin Radd's chiptune template and Bucky's chiptune template. Thanks goes out to them for getting me into chiptunes and also to you for keeping me going!

  • epichunt : like the title, and the bassline as well as the leads with the beautifully fast arps. Finally someone who can make a song with an actual melody. What software was this? I can tell its a demo, and the finished thing would be awesome. Make a great structure, breakdown and the like and this will be one of my favorite tracks.

  • Zachariasmith : lol For the competition that this was entered for people wanted this song to be disqualified because it did not contain any live instruments. (It's mostly live from what I know) I am very glad it wasn't disqualified.

  • Zachariasmith : The texture is good and very Cave Story like but it needs more pixel-ish melodies. Go for it and make this longer too. Throw in some nice variations and you have an awesome track!
