• Zan-zan-zawa-veia : very pretty. you kept it melodic and did no showboat soloing so the song feels honest. although it's for a different chip, this reminds me of the music in some apogee games, ie, Raptor and RotT.

• DanKirby : I don't need the actual machine; the MML compiler is a standard DOS program and will run in Windows, and there are programs out there that can play back the output files through emulation.

• DanKirby : PC-88/98, yeah. PMD is an MML-based composition program/sound driver for those systems.

• DanKirby : Well, the MML compiler works fine in Windows, and that's all I've had to use. (I used Mumml to automate the process, though.) Then I use the FMPMD player to play back the resulting file. And yeah, I thought the percussion was the weakest part of the piece.
