Hallo!
Blip's getting close and despite the inevitable haphazardness that Akira and I will bring to the BOFSCS, we'll do our best to run off some stuff that people need.
Points to remember:
# If there's accessible wireless in the place, we'll be able to put pretty much anything on disk (although I won't be bringing the massive TOSEC games archive with me - we're emphasising freeware/abandonware apps and utils that are otherwise tricky to get onto disk or your Amiga HD). Of course if a game seems freely available online, we'll stick it on disk for you.
# If there isn't accessible wireless, at the very least we can build you bootdisks with CompactFlash drivers, some popular (and maybe even unpopular!) trackers and essential libraries etc.
So in order that we're to some degree prepared, I'd like people to reply to this thread with stuff that they'd like, how many disks they anticipate bringing and which days they expect to be at Blip (if not all of them). This is so that Akira and I can figure out a rough guess of the workload and time requirements and then organise a few sessions when you can come and see us. Perhaps one session a day? I'm sure it'll be flexible though.
All comments are welcome, but please don't make requests if you know you're not going to be at Blip. This will be the definitive list that we'll read before (and hopefully during) the festival, since the BOFSCS blog doesn't do comments ![]()

I'd like some of the most commonly used or recommended C64 music programs/trackers. Also some NTSC demos (or PAL demos if they are playable on my machine, even if they're sped up a bit). I don't really know any specific C64 trackers/programs/demos because I'm a total C64 nööb and there are too many to pick from. Bring whatever is most commonly used or recommended, as well as any personal preferences. I know I'd like to start out with John Player. Definitely the disk version of Cynthcart. Also, any highly recommended games would be cool as well.
I've got 20 mint, blank, brand new C64 floppies. I've also got a TON more that are filled with cracked games, and I could wipe those clean if needed. I've also got some original discs that could be used if they were hole-punched. So the number of discs I could bring is pretty much limitless. Seriously, I have way too many. I could probably donate some if needed.
I will be at Blipfest all 4 days.
Also, THANK YOU!!! ![]()

And don't dare erase originals!
We won't let anyone destroy originals.
Not even lame educational programs or word processors?

Well, if anyone here wants them, they can have them for free. I haven't really got any use for them.

And there are almost no NTSC demos, remember there was no demoscene here, hardly.
If you find some NTSC-fixed demos, link us up and we'll plaster them on a disk for you.
Well here are a bunch of NTSC demos.
Here is the subdirectory for NTSC-fixed demos.
I don't know if any of them are good though.

I would like to request ProTracker A version that can run on Amiga500 (with expanded memory).
Odin tracker for C64
You should make a sign if you have a booth labeled "Akira and Syphus's oldschool dungeon"

That really sucks. Can you get your money back?
EDIT: Check out this A1200 on the UK eBay. It's at quite a low price, has only 2 days left, supposedly works, and the seller is willing to ship outside the UK.

assuming it's a bad psu, are you sure the boards have gone bad because of it? i think there's a couple a500 psu's on ebay.
Offline
Ship it to someone you know in the UK who is coming over for Blipfest, and have them bring it over in their suitcase, if they are willing to.

I really want ALL c64 trackers. I would love to bring home ad many c64 trackers, presets/samples for those trackers, and of course other peoples tracker files !
I will bring my cyber tracker save disks if anyone wants to trade MODS ![]()
Also, I can bring my C64 if you think you might need an extra hand copying c64 disks. Just let me know ![]()

Yeah, I'm down for pretty much anything c64 related that can fit on a floppy. Like I said: I've got a lot of disks.

k.
I can bring a video in card, it's USB and can connect coax cable, svideo, and RCA.
So there will or will not be any c64 trading?

Akira! Sorry to hear you've been having such epic troubles ![]()
I'll have my A600/2MB, USB capture device and EeePC for the copyfloppingswappychopping fun.
By the way, I've been using this great Windows app for monitoring the Amiga video output. Currently, there are no linux drivers for the Easycap device, though
Still, if you've got XP on your Eee, that's a great little app.

Ah, well then I won't bring my capture card or c64 ![]()
Less luggage ![]()

Oxygenfad - it would be handy to have a second capture card, if you don't mind bringing it, seeing as my laptop only has a 7" screen
Then we could be doing two things at once, using someone else's lappy...
And I won't have a C64 there with me, but if someone else does (along with a composite cable), then that's cool.

I'll bring the drivers too, but make sure your EEE is compatible with the "Hauppauge WINTV HVR 950"
Perhaps a check list , so we all know what is going to be where and who is bringing what.

I haven't had the best of luck with Hauppauge devices on my Eee (or any other computer for that matter, although my Hauppauge WinTV device is quite elderly), but we could use any laptop we can beg or borrow on the day(s) - the bigger the screen, the better.
Checklist - good idea!
Eee 701
A600
EasyCap
Various cardreaders
er...
that's about it ![]()
