Leeni, you're awesome. That's my favorite Smiths song and you did an amazing job with it.

haha, well I had no artwork as of last night and I myself aren't a dab hand at any form of art so I knocked it up quickly on paint with the thought that "any art is better than no art".

so apologies about the shitty cover smile

Sometime next year I may try and put together a similar comp and maybe a Misfits comp... that is good. tongue

Props to Alex Luthor!
And a little props to Leeni.. cuz' I've heard like 8 covers of that track.

And... those were the standouts.. IMO.

Leeni's track is brilliant, the other tracks are all good - I wish there was vocals for every track though! Good job organising/sorting out J&HT!

Thanks man!

All the tracks were really awesome, quality not quantity was the motto here smile

It was a pleasure organising this, such a nice bunch of people to work with throughout!

Thanks to everyone for submitting their tracks and another thanks to everyone who has downloaded so far!

I think you're confusing listening to The Smiths with sticking your penis in another man's arse neutral (again)

Sounding really good. I'll have a proper listen when I'm back off the road - laptop speakers don't really cut it!

And I thought I'd say here:

Get well soon Mozzer!

it was hard for  me to resist preparing something for this comp. I like Beta club field Trip's track a lot. Really captures something about the original even without vocals. Leeni and Crashfaster tracks are well done too. Alex picked a great song for chip and did a nice version.

I hadn't listened to Leeni's "There is a light" for a while. Just checked it again. Love it! The higher harmony vocal mixed way back = excellence.

Thanks to everyone again for downloading... Perhaps we could have a second compilation organised in the future for everyone who couldn't get a track in for whatever reason?

So basically you put on your whiniest, most self important sounding voice?

this person has never listened to a Smiths song. He might think he has, but in fact, the song played, he was in the room, but did not hear it.

Also, Pete can do pretty much anything, as long as there is the promise of a sitcom tie-in.

Downloaded; Great Album, especially Leeni's track! Too bad my request didn't make it on. I've got to agree about the cover, so I made one really quick just messing around. It stays with the desolate hill theme. Feel free to use it if you like it!
